The last 24 hours
The GIS perimeter carries forward unchanged at 171,163 acres, 81% contained, with the current perimeter still dated Sep 5, 8:36 PM PDT — about 19.5 hours old at capture, the same snapshot cited this morning. InciWeb's newest post, dated Sep 6, 9:22 AM, reports 171,192 acres, 81% contained — within rounding of the GIS figure — and shows personnel down further to 914 total (40 engines, 21 crews, 18 heavy equipment), continuing the drawdown from Friday's 1,098 (47 engines, 22 crews, 24 heavy equipment) cited in recent briefs. Fire behavior remains smoldering and creeping with isolated torching possible in sheltered spots; overnight precipitation and cloud cover kept conditions cool and humid, consistent with a fire that's holding rather than growing.
No zone anywhere on the perimeter was edited in the last 24 hours. The Level 1 ring closest to the house holds at 2.0 mi NNE (unedited since Sep 1), and the nearest Level 3 ring is unchanged at 5.1 mi N (last edited Sep 3, 2:31 PM). Nothing here trips the tracker's alert condition.
The same two heat clusters flagged in recent briefs — 8.5 mi NNE (1
detection, Sep 1) and 8.9 mi NNE (2 detections, Aug 30) — again read
persistent: false, the same recurring rolling-window artifact called out
over the last several cycles, not new starts. The nearest genuine detection
in the last 24 hours is unchanged at 16.3 mi ENE, FRP 1.15 (nominal
confidence), now 10 hours old (4 hours old this morning) — no fresh heat
closer to Plain.
lakewenatcheeinfo.com again returned no usable content (recurring bot-challenge), and Lake Chelan Now's homepage has no Little Giant coverage. The Chelan County EM active-emergencies page could not be reached this cycle (blocked by this environment's network policy); its last confirmed state, per recent briefs, was still stuck on an Aug 17 update. wasmoke.blogspot.com's most recent post (Sep 4, unchanged since this morning) says the Little Giant Fire "has not received a quarter inch of rain yet" and puts the odds of another quarter inch at around 20%, but cooler temperatures and higher humidity are keeping fire activity down for now; it also flags a mid-week warming trend that could support spread in lighter fuels, though heavily forested areas that got substantial rain should resist returning to dangerous conditions. A general search turned up nothing dated to today beyond the InciWeb figures above — older results citing evacuation-zone expansions and acreage figures of 7,500, 100,000, 132,978, and 171,302 are stale articles from earlier growth stages and are not reported here.
Fire weather
Winds stay light and out of the west/northwest, not the north/northeast drainage pattern that would push toward Plain: SW 2 mph this afternoon, NW 2–6 mph tonight, trending NW 9 mph by Labor Day, easing to NW 3–7 mph Monday night and W 0–3 mph Tuesday. No NWS fire weather alerts are in effect.
Air quality
Modeled AQI at the house is 38 (PM2.5 5 µg/m³) — good, down slightly from 44 this morning. No air quality alert is posted.
Roads: no new road blocks logged.
