The last 24 hours
The house remains inside the Level 1 "Get Ready" zone, day 6 since the Aug 25, 9:20 AM PDT redraw — status unchanged, and no edit to that zone since yesterday's. Level 2 "Get Set" holds at 2 mi NNE and Level 3 "Go Now" at 3.7 mi NNE, both untouched since their own last edits. The separate "Little Giant-Level 1 (Get Ready)" entry at 4.9 mi N, first seen yesterday afternoon, still hasn't merged back into the house's own Level 1 polygon or moved — still reads as a mapping artifact rather than a new area. The only GIS edits in the last 24 hours were two Lake Chelan zones, 15.1 mi NE and 19.3 mi E, both from yesterday afternoon — well outside anything that matters for Plain.
The GIS perimeter is now dated Aug 30, 3:39 PM PDT — 163,089 acres, 27% contained, nearest mapped edge flat at 5.2 mi NNE. InciWeb's Aug 30 morning update still shows the slightly lower 162,961 acres, also 27% contained, but personnel is up to 1,925 (from 1,850), including newly-noted National Guard and active-duty Army support. InciWeb again places fire activity in the Chiwawa River drainage, around Stormy and Baldy Mountain, with no mention of Plain, Lake Wenatchee, or the White River.
VIIRS logged 194 detections in the region over the last 24 hours. Nearest detection to the house holds low, 6.6 mi NE, FRP 7.1. All near-Plain heat clusters remain persistent, multi-day signatures; the last genuinely new single-day cluster was Aug 28, at 9.6 mi NE — nothing newer today.
lakewenatcheeinfo.com again returned no usable content. Lake Chelan Now has no new Little Giant post since Aug 20. The Chelan County active-emergencies page is still stuck on its Aug 17, 3:30 PM update — now 13 days stale. wasmoke.blogspot.com's latest post (Aug 27) has nothing newer than already reflected here. A general search turned up only coverage already superseded by this run's numbers — discarded as stale rather than reported.
Fire weather
No Red Flag Warning. Wind stays in the favorable northwest quadrant: NW 10 mph this afternoon, easing to N 1–7 mph tonight with patchy smoke after 1 AM. Monday is now forecast S 0–5 mph — the earlier light northeast shift flagged in this morning's brief has resolved to a south wind instead, one less thing to watch. Real rain chances build midweek: 40% Tuesday, 70% Wednesday.
Air quality
AQI 95 (PM2.5 35.9 µg/m³, PM10 36.8) as of 4 PM — Moderate, improved from this morning's 116. NWS's Air Quality Alert has been extended and now runs through Aug 31, 12:00 PM PDT.
Roads: no blocks logged in the GIS layer.
