Checked against this morning's snapshot, the polygon gained two vertices elsewhere but the boundary point nearest the house is identical (same closest point, same southern extent), and the house is still flagged inside with the same margin. This reads as a routine redraw, not a boundary shift toward or away from the house. Two other zones were touched in the same few minutes — LG Chelan Level 3 (15.1 mi NE) and LG Chelan Level 2 (16.0 mi ENE) — consistent with a batch republish of the Sheriff's layer rather than anything specific to the house's side of the fire. Level 2 "Get Set" holds at 2.0 mi NNE and Level 3 "Go Now" at 3.7 mi NNE, both untouched since Aug 16.
The GIS perimeter refreshed to 147,626 acres, 21% contained (Aug 25, 1:58 PM PDT) — up 1,584 acres from this morning, containment unchanged. InciWeb's Aug 25, 12:32 PM update puts the fire at 147,537 acres, also 21% contained — within about 90 acres of the GIS figure, the closest the two sources have tracked yet. Nearest mapped edge holds flat at 5.2 mi NNE. InciWeb repeats the same pattern noted the last several days: "fire behavior was active throughout the operational period," with morning thunderstorms driving spread and an afternoon wind shift bringing torching and spotting where terrain aligned — a continuation, not a new development.
VIIRS logged 1,161 detections in the region over the last 24 hours, down from this morning's 1,409. The confirmed near-Plain clusters continue at essentially the same levels — 5.0 mi N and 5.2 mi NNE both still active and persistent across multiple days. Two low-significance blips appeared farther out (8.9 mi NNE and 11.8 mi NW), both single-day with FRP under 1.5 — too faint and too far to flag as a possible new start; worth a second look only if either shows up again tomorrow.

A general search surfaced only older articles citing acreage figures (142,228 and 146,037) that predate this run's numbers — discarded as stale rather than reported.
Fire weather
Wind holds light S 5 mph this afternoon — the favorable quadrant, pushing the fire away from Plain — then backs NW 1–6 mph overnight and NW 1–8 mph Wednesday. Nothing in the north/northeast danger quadrant through the forecast window. No Red Flag Warning is posted.
Air quality
AQI 166 (PM2.5 24.7 µg/m³, PM10 25.9) as of 4 PM — a sharp improvement from this morning's 171 with PM2.5 at 196.5, an eight-fold drop. NWS nonetheless renewed its Air Quality Alert for the region, now running through Aug 26, 12:00 PM PDT.
